Donald Trump said during the second presidential debate that he will appoint a special prosecutor to investigate Hillary Clinton if he becomes president.
“If I win, I am going to instruct my attorney general to get a special prosecutor to look into your situation,” Trump said. “Because there has never been so many lies, so much deception, there has never been anything like it.”
Trump’s campaign claims that Clinton’s lawyers destroyed her emails “in ways thought to make them unrecoverable.”
During the debate, Anderson Cooper also asked Trump if he understood that what he described in newly released tapes is sexual assault.
Trump said it was just “locker room talk.” He then pivoted to making accusations about Bill Clinton, calling the former president “abusive.”
Hours before appearing on the debate stage, Trump made a surprise appearance with women who have in the past accused Bill Clinton of inappropriate sexual activity.
