HIGH POINT, N.C. — There were at least two reports of trees crashing down on homes Saturday in the Piedmont amidst storms from Hurricane Matthew.

A large tree poked a hole in the roof of a house on Hopewell Street in High Point and the homeowner had to cover it with his tarp.

A tree also went through another home in Liberty, causing damage to the back of the home, the roof and two bedrooms.
