GREENSBORO, N.C. – Big changes coming to the Greensboro Children's Museum and museum officials wasted no time getting started.
"We wanted to be the best of the best," said Marian King, CEO of the children's museum. "We wanted activities for outdoors, activities for slightly older child."
Some of the new features include a state of the art outdoor nature plaza, an indoor feature with learning stations for toddlers to teens and a technology center.
"Many childhood educators are saying now that children are going to need to know computer coding, reading, writing and arithmetic," said King. "Some want to do our part to prepare children for their future."
The first phase of construction is expected to be completed by February.
