WINTON-SALEM, N.C. — A teenager was shot and killed in Winston-Salem Thursday night.
At 9:13 p.m., officers with the Winston-Salem Police Department were dispatched to 2332 N. Cherry Street on a reported shooting. Upon their arrival, the officers located 18-year-old Angel Bernardino Gonzales in the parking lot of the apartment complex. Gonzales had been shot and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Prior to the shooting, a suspicious vehicle was observed in the area. Witnesses described the vehicle as an older model passenger car, “boxy” in appearance, and brown in color. The vehicle was occupied by at least two men, one of whom was described as wearing a hooded shirt which was pulled up over his head.
