DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. – September 27 is National Voter Registration Day.
There was a big push across the country to make sure as many people as possible are ready to vote in this year’s general election.
The Student Government Association at Davidson County Community College hosted a voter registration event.
“We have a folder right here that’s pretty heavy, it’s actually full of all the responses we’ve gotten today,” said Connie Morse, SGA President at DCCC.
Partisan groups also used today to keep the ground game strong.
Republican National Committee team members were in Winston-Salem knocking on doors as part of the first “Trump Tuesday” – an initiative that focuses on voter registration and will continue through the election.
Meanwhile, the Clinton campaign has a list of local efforts happening in the Piedmont including voter registration events along with phone bank initiatives.
