SC man arrested on 116 charges of improper treatment of dogs, puppies

CHESTER COUNTY, S.C. — A South Carolina man is facing nearly 200 charges after officials found more than 116 Dobermans in his care without food and water.

Deputies were called after 47-year-old Jordan Johnson let his dogs run across the road and into neighbors yards, according to WBTV. Once officials arrived, they discovered the dogs and puppies were without food and water.

Johnson was arrested and charged with 116 counts of ill treatment of animals and 81 counts of rabies control violation. Authorities also gave him a warrant for letting dogs run at large.

The animals, who were all Dobermans, were taken to the vet and fostered out to families.
