2 arrested, 1 sought in connection to Rockingham County assaults

MADISON, N.C. — Two people were arrested and another is wanted in connection to assaults in Rockingham County, according to the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office.

Joshua Drake Hayes, 24, of Stoneville, has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, assault by pointing a gun and possession of a firearm by a felon. He was jailed under a $15,000 secured bond.

Brandi Lewis was charged with felony conspiracy and was released from custody after posting a $25,000 secure bond.

On Saturday, deputies responded to the area of Old Covered Bridge Road near Alene Lp. in Madison in reference to a report of shots fired.

After this assault was reported, sheriff’s investigators charged Richard Ogle in connection to an assault that occurred on Bryan Street in Stoneville on Wednesday, September 21.

Richard Dale Ogle is currently being sought by Rockingham County Sheriff’s Deputies on these outstanding arrest warrants.
