Man shot in Greensboro Tuesday night dies

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police are investigating a shooting in Greensboro that killed one person late Tuesday night.

At about 11:34 p.m., officers responded to the 2400 Block of East Bessemer Avenue in reference to an aggravated assault. According to a news release, police discovered one victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment and succumbed to his injuries soon after his arrival.

The name and address of the victim are being temporarily withheld.

The investigation is ongoing.
