Andrews student taken to hospital after stabbing
HIGH POINT, N.C. — A Guilford County Schools official confirmed Tuesday morning that one student was taken to the hospital after suffering a stab wound at T. Wingate Andrews High School Monday afternoon.
The altercation took place around dismissal time at 3:50 p.m. and involved multiple students. One student was taken to the hospital by Guilford County Emergency Emergency Medical Services with non-life-threatening injuries.
Guilford County Schools Spokeswoman Nora Murray says officials are looking into what caused the conflict.
Extra officers are on campus today, Murray said.
No names have been released since all participants were minors.
The High Point Police Department is working with Guilford County Schools to investigating the incident.
