West Virginia woman allegedly put cigarette out in boyfriend’s eye
St. ALBANS, W.Va. — A West Virginia woman is locked up and facing charges after police say she put a cigarette out in her boyfriend’s eye on Monday, according to The Smoking Gun.
Cindy Underwood, 39, is facing a malicious wounding charge after she rammed the lit cigarette into Jeremy Hughes’ eye during a fight at home.
The man was taken to a nearby hospital, reportedly telling officials he did not have sight in one eye.
Underwood is in jail on a $10,000 bond and has a Sept. 22 preliminary hearing.
According to court documents, the argument began because Hughes got home too late.
