NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. -- A United States Army soldier, who has been in Kuwait for 10 months, did something amazing for his son when he returned.
Little Caden Chin, 7, went to a spirit day school assembly, expecting nothing out of the ordinary; but his dad, Sgt. Jason Chin had other plans.
When Caden got into the auditorium, he was asked to hold the flag, and that's when his father walked into the room.
“It was more than I had hoped for,” said Chin, according to ABC News. “We locked eyes and he came running and saying, ‘Daddy, daddy,’ and he yelled, ‘Woohoo,’ and whispered in my ear that he loved me. That was more than I even expected.”
The two then proudly reciting the Pledge of Allegiance together.
After the long deployment, Sgt. Chin said he plans to spend as much family time as possible.
