Virginia Commonwealth University student dies after fall from 13th floor
RICHMOND, Va. – A Virginia Commonwealth University student has died after falling from the 13th floor of a high-rise apartment.
WTVR reported that the 18-year-old freshman student jumped from the Towers on Franklin on West Franklin Street around 3 a.m. Her name has not been released.
The student was starting her college career at VCU and a friend said the experience was cut short during an incident at a party in her apartment building.
“She was a good kid… She had everything. She had so much potential,” said friend Aaron Joye. “She was a really good kid. She had a really good heart.”
