Police looking for man accused of robbing bank in Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Police are looking for a man accused of robbing a bank in Winston-Salem at gunpoint.

Michael Lawrence Hill, 22, allegedly robbed the Wells Fargo Bank at 5995 University Parkway shortly before 9:20 a.m. Saturday.

Police said the suspect entered the bank with a handgun and demanded money and then left with an undisclosed amount of cash. Nobody was hurt.

Authorities have obtained a warrant for arrest charging Hill with robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Hill is described as about 5’9” and weighing about 180 pounds. Police said he was wearing shorts and a heavy black coat during the crime. A previous mugshot of the suspect has been provided.
