Man charged with DWI after crash with school bus in Winston-Salem
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The driver of a car that was involved in a crash with a school bus in Winston-Salem has been charged with DWI.
Ervin Uriel-Roblero Perez faces charges of driving while impaired, driving without a license and failure to reduce speed, according to police.
Winston-Salem police responded to the crash Friday morning at Cole Road and Troy Drive. Police said there were 22 students on the bus, but nobody was hurt.
Investigators said the bus stopped while headed south on Cole Road and a 2005 Nissan Altima driven by the suspect failed to stop and hit the back of the bus.
