Baby dies after hit-and-run in Greensboro, person of interest sought

GREENSBORO, N.C. – An 18-month-old baby died after being hit by a pickup truck backing out of a driveway Saturday morning in Greensboro, according to police.

Amariani Doris Pulliam was pronounced dead at the scene by Guilford County emergency workers, according to the Greensboro Police Department.

The incident was reported at about 10:10 a.m. at 1603 McKnight Mill Road and involved a 2003 Ford F-250 Super Duty pickup truck.

Authorities said the truck left the scene, headed south on Summit Avenue and was later found abandoned in another location. Police said they are looking for a person of interest, but have not released any other details.
