J.Crew plans to open Winston-Salem store in time for Black Friday
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — J.Crew will arrive in Winston-Salem just in time for Black Friday, according to the Winston-Salem Journal.
Saul Centers Inc., owner of Thruway Shopping Center, lists a J.Crew storefront on its website map for the center.
Saul spokesman Zane Zynda said Thursday that the J.Crew retail store is scheduled to open Nov. 23 — the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.
The trend-setting clothing retailer is taking a 5,772-square-foot space two doors down from Talbots, with Francesca’s Collections and General Nutrition Center as neighbors.
J.Crew officials could not be reached for comment about its plans for the Winston-Salem store, its second in the Triad and seventh in the state.
“We worked more than 18 months on getting J.Crew here,” Zynda said. “They believe Thruway and Winston-Salem will be a good site and market for them to reach their target audience better.”
