TYRO, N.C. — A Davidson County mother has given birth to a baby boy in a truck that was racing to get to the hospital.
The Lexington Dispatch reported that Jessica Cain and her husband Austin Cain give birth to Trent Cain on Sunday night.
Trent came into the world as his parents were racing to get from their home in Tyro to Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center.
“I told Austin ‘I think he’s coming’, and he was like ‘no he’s not’,” Jessica Cain told the paper. “I reached down and felt the entire roundness of his head. I just lifted him up and put him on my chest. He wasn’t breathing at first, but then he started crying.”
