Retired officer who was robbed lends advice

BURLINGTON, N.C. -- A retired police officer was robbed at gunpoint and his car taken.

The catch? Tom Wooding had to pay $1,469 in fees from the tow company.

His advice? Don't give up and access the situation.

"Suppose it was somebody that didn't have the means that I had and the car was their only lifeline to getting around," he said.
