2 homes struck in High Point shootings
HIGH POINT, N.C. — The High Point Police Department is investigating two incidents Monday night where gunshots were fired into a home.
The first incident occurred at about 11:15 p.m. at 305 Picket Place. Police say there were small children inside the home at the time of the shooting, but there were no injuries.
At about the same time, shots were also fired into a home on Dayton Avenue. High Point police think the target residence was 531 Dayton Avenue, but several rounds hit another residence instead. There were no reported injuries.
Police do not think the two incidents are related other than the time frame.
The investigation is ongoing.
