Police officer shot, suspect killed in Raleigh



RALEIGH, N.C. — A police officer was shot and a suspect was killed in east Raleigh on Monday, according to WTVD.

Raleigh police officers responded to the 200 block of Donald Ross Drive at about 11:30 a.m. on a report of a person with a gun.

A chase with the suspect ensued and shots were fired. One officer was wounded and the man being chased was killed, WTVD reports.

Police have not released the names of the officer or the deceased suspect.
