Krishawn Jamar Noble's body was found in the lake at Kernersville Lake Park on Friday, Aug. 26, 2016.

FORSYTH COUNTY, N.C. — A body has been found floating on the surface of Kernersville Lake Park and family members have identified the remains as a missing teacher.

The body of 23-year-old Krishawn Jamar Noble was found at about 6:30 p.m. Friday, according to Forsyth County Chief Deputy Brad Stanley. A cause of death has not been released.

The body was found by family members searching the lake in pedal boats. Family members pulled the body out.

On Thursday, deputies say they were asked to make contact with Noble, after he didn’t show up for work. Noble was scheduled to begin his new career as a first-year teacher at East Forsyth Middle School this year.

Shortly afterward, deputies say Noble rented a boat at Kernersville Lake Park. At about 1:30 p.m. Thursday, that boat came to rest on a bank of the lake and Noble was nowhere to be found.

Some of his personal belongings, as well as his car, were found. The discovery of the boat prompted an all-out ground and water search.
