HIGH POINT, N.C. -- You can learn a lot about a daycare center with a quick search online.

North Carolina rates childcare businesses with a star rating system. One star means the daycare meets the minimal licensing requirements and five stars is the highest rating.

Childcare centers can earn points based on the program environment for items like sufficient space for activities, the variety of play materials, clean and comfortable play area, the number of staff per child and the type of interactions your child has every day.
