Escaped NC inmate captured

MAURY, N.C. — The North Carolina inmate who escaped from the Green County Correctional Center on Saturday was captured at about 8:30 a.m. Monday morning in the woods a few miles away from the prison.

Officials began searching for 37-year-old Waylon Flynn after he jumped the fence to escape the prison, a press release says

Flynn was serving a sentence for obtaining property by false pretenses and was slated to be released in December.
