Houston couple accused of leaving 2 kids in hot car while high on kush
HOUSTON — A Houston couple is in jail after they allegedly left two kids in a hot car while they were high on synthetic pot.
Ashlea M. Jones, 26, and Christopher Alexander, 27, are charged with endangering a child after a maintenance man at a nearby apartment complex found the 2-year-old girl and 3-year-old boy inside the couple’s car Monday afternoon, according to KTRK.
The couple was also sleeping in the car, allegedly passed out from the drug.
The children were treated by emergency crews and are expected to be okay.
Child Protective Services placed the children in foster care.
Records show it was around 81 degrees outside.
