LONG BEACH, Wash. — A dog who lost the use of its legs several years ago had its wheelchair stolen Monday night.

KOIN reports that the wheelchair was left on the porch and in the morning, both the chair and its ramp were missing.

“He can’t walk now, he can’t run for his ball, he can’t get up, he can’t stand up, and he’s sad about it,” said owner Rod Beauregard.

The wheelchair would cost about $400 to replace and a family friend created a GoFundMe account to help replace the stolen items.

As of Thursday morning, the account raised $1,650, which is more than half its initial $585 goal.
