GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Shops at Friendly Center are getting another sweet addition.

Rise Biscuits Donuts will join Pieology and West Elm in a new building between Whole Foods and the Apple Store, the Greensboro News & Record reports.

The Greensboro location is scheduled for an early November opening and is co-owned by Rick Robinson and Ken Priest, who operate a Rise store in Carrboro.

Rise serves unique biscuit sandwiches featuring fillings like its signature fried chicken, country ham and sausage topped with cheeses, spreads and eggs, as well as monthly specialty biscuits such as Chipotle Braised Beef Biscuit with Cilantro Lime Slaw and Fried Green Tomato Biscuit with Pimento Cheese.

The shop also offers doughnuts in unique flavors like the Maple Bacon Bar, Crème Brulee, Cheerwine Icing, and Apricot Bulls Eye with Nutella Icing.
