Authorities are searching for 3-year-old Jordan Ann Dumont

GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — Emergency officials are searching for three-year-old Jordan Ann Dumont after she disappeared from her house around 1 p.m. on Monday.

WSOC reports that she and her mother’s boyfriend took a nap Monday afternoon and when he woke up, the child was missing and the front door was wide open.

At a press conference Monday evening, police said they are going to continue their search with the Highway Patrol’s helicopter, four wheelers and K9 units.

The searched resumed at about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday morning

She is about 3 feet 2 inches tall with curly blonde hair and blue/green eyes.

Police say no Amber Alert has been issued since there is no sign of an abduction.
