Arrest made in Omaha Street shooting in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Officers with the Greensboro Police Department arrested a local man Tuesday in connection with a shooting that occurred at 1205 Omaha St. a few minutes before 8 a.m. Monday.

Kedar Malik Muhammad, 48, of Greensboro, was taken in to custody without incident at approximately 3 p.m. at his home on Tuscaloosa Street, according to Greensboro police Public Information Officer Susan Danielsen. He is accused of shooting 25-year-old Shaquan Montale Washington following a dispute.

Washington remains hospitalized in stable condition for a single gunshot wound to one his legs, Danielsen said.

Muhammad is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and possession of firearm by felon.

Police are not looking for any other subjects.
