Power outages, flooding and some storm damage were reported Monday after overnight storms moved through the Piedmont.

Lee Road off Highway 109 in Thomasville was washed out Monday morning. A piece of the road had been washed away. The street goes over a creek, where pieces of the road were visibly in the water. “Road Blocked” signs were placed at the end of the street to prevent drivers from using the road.

More than 300 homes in Davidson and Forsyth counties were without power Monday morning. In Davidson County, most outages were centered around Lee, Denton and Sullivan roads off Highway 109.

In Forsyth County, more than 550 outages were fairly scattered with the majority of them being off Country Club Road on Commonwealth and Hillsborough drives, and Longtown Road west of Yadkinville.

There were also 449 homes without power in Yadkin County and 207 homes without power in Randolph County.
