Silver Alert issued for 79-year-old Greensboro man

Allen Harrison Watkins Jr.

GREENSBORO, N.C. – A Silver Alert has been issued for a 79-year-old Greensboro man who was last seen leaving an assisted living facility using his walker.

Allen Harrison Watkins Jr. was last seen leaving Abbottswood Independent Living at 3504 Flint St. at about 11:40 a.m. Saturday.

Allen Harrison Watkins Jr is a 79-year-old white male, between 5’7” to 5’8” tall and weighs about 140 pounds. He has white hair and blue eyes.

Watkins Jr. was last seen wearing khaki or brown shorts and a shirt of undetermined color, according to authorities. He is believed to be suffering from dementia or other cognitive impairment.

Watkins Jr. may be headed to Kitty Hawk, N.C. Anyone with any information on Watkins’ whereabouts can call Greensboro police at (336) 373-2287.
