GREENSBORO, N.C. – A woman was hospitalized after being shot in the neck after a dispute in a Greensboro parking lot.
The woman began assaulting a woman in a white vehicle that was parked in front of Greensboro Metro Treatment Center at at 207 South Westgate Drive shortly before 10 a.m. Friday, according to witnesses.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the man driving the car fired one round from a handgun, striking the victim in the neck.
Medical staff from the center performed first aid to the victim while on-lookers called 911. Emergency responders took the woman to a hospital to be treated. She is in stable condition.
The people in the vehicle then drove around the corner to Dundas Drive, where they called 911 to notify dispatchers of the incident.
Both the driver and the woman passenger are currently being interviewed by detectives. No charges have been filed at this point.
