VALLEJO, Calif. — A 61-year-old California woman was beaten, dragged and run over by her own stolen vehicle.

After realizing her vehicle had been stolen on Tuesday, the unnamed victim pushed her car fob in an attempt to hear the alarm, KRON reports.

Surprisingly, she heard the alarm go off and her car was only several houses down the street; so she got in and attempted to drive home.

Once she did, a man walked out of a nearby house and began to attack her.

The man, who had the help of his wife, reportedly punched, dragged and ran the woman over with her car.

In addition, the thief stole the woman’s credit card and bought hundreds of dollars worth of items.

Police say they have leads in the case and the investigation is ongoing.
