NC mom arrested for assaulting elementary school principal, assistant principal

FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C. — A North Carolina mom is facing charges after she assaulted the principal and assistant principal at an elementary school on Wednesday.

38-year-old Christina Bonnett allegedly became violent after she didn’t receive answers from Herbert Akins Elementary School officials regarding the custody of her children. Authorities say officers attempted to calm the suspect down and she physically assaulted one the officers as well, according to WNCN.

Bonnett is charged with two counts of assault on a school employee, assault on governmental officials  and resisting a public officer.

The incident resulted in a minor injury to the officer and she is in jail under a $10,000 bond.
