LEXINGTON, N.C. — A house in Lexington is heavily damaged by a large tree limb that fell on the home.

It happened on Hames Street at about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Neighbors tell FOX8 that no one was in the home when the limb broke off of a tree and crashed down on the house, knocking down a wall and crushing a portion of the roof.

Neighbors also said that someone had left a note on the home’s door warning the resident that the limb might break off the tree and hit the house.
