Piedmont duo charged after meth, marijuana violations

RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. — The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office charged two men with drug violations after they seized methamphetamine, marijuana and Alprazolam from the duo.

After a two month uncover investigation, the sheriff’s office charged Jeffrey Warren Marley, 38, with two counts of trafficking methamphetamine, five counts of possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver methamphetamine, two counts of manufacturing/sell/deliver/possession of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of school and two counts of driving while license revoked.

Jonathan Charles Toomes, 28, was charged with one count of felony possession cocaine, one count of simple possession schedule IV of controlled substance, one count of assault on a female, one count of interfering with emergency communication and one count of assault on a child under 12.

Marley is under a $500,000 bond and Toomes is under a $2,500 bond.
