Fayetteville police investigates overnight homicide

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The Fayetteville Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Friday morning on the 500 Block of Moore Street.

According to a news release, authorities responded after receiving a call about a shooting and possible victim.

Upon arrival, authorities found a Alvis Tina Davis, 54, suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. She was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and has since passed away.
