GREENSBORO, N.C. — A woman connected to a child sexual assault case testified Wednesday afternoon that the defendant was offered $4,000 to make child pornography, according to the News & Record.

Ronnie Lee Ford, 52, of 1025 W. Barton St. in Greensboro is on trial this week on charges of first-degree sex offense, sex offense with a child, sex offense with a minor, attempted sex offense with a minor and kidnapping.

Danielle Patrice Gilmer, 40, of 2603 Belmar St. in Greensboro also is charged in that same case with two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and one count each of kidnapping, attempted first-degree sex offense and sex offense with a child. She is being held without bail in Guilford County jail.

Gilmer testified that she agreed to help Ford — who owns a video production company that assists students in earning college scholarships — create the video footage in exchange for $2,000 she needed to fix her broken minivan.
