SILVER SPRING, Md. — A young Maryland boy tried  to stop two armed men from robbing the GameStop store he was shopping in.

Surveillance video from the store shows the seven-year-old approach one of the gun-wielding men and punch him twice.  The masked man shoved the boy and continued with the robbery.

The boy, his parents, and the clerks were ordered to lie down behind the counter as the thieves stole cash.

The boy’s father said he wasn’t near his son in the store when the robbers walked in and approached his son.

“He saw somebody who was a stranger, who seemed most dangerous to him and he tried to defend himself. I think it was his natural instinct taking over there,” the father told WWTG.

The suspects did not harm the boy or others before fleeing.

The suspects are both described as black men in their 20s. Anyone with information are asked to call Montgomery County Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-8477.
