CONCORD, N.C. – Four cars suffered major damage in a crash on Lap 23 of the second 50-lap segment of Saturday night’s Sprint All-Star race.

FOX Sports reported that Tony Stewart was caught in the middle of a wild wreck that ended his night early at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

“I’m as baffled as everybody,” Stewart told FOX Sports. “I don’t know how in the hell we were scored a lap down after they stopped the 20 car and they pit everybody together … It’s the most screwed-up All-Star Race I’ve ever been a part of, and I’m glad this is the last one.”

Stewart is retiring at the end of the season and was driving in his last All-Star event.

Ford driver Joey Logano won $1 million by winning the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race.
