Gibsonville man charged with sex offenses in connection to missing girl

ASHEBORO, N.C. — A Gibsonville man faces multiple sex offenses in connection to a 13-year-old girl who was reported missing last month.

Christopher Robert Wood, 21, faces two counts of statutory sex offense, one count of statutory rape, one count of indecent liberties with a child and one count of felonious restraint.

The suspect was found by Myrtle Beach police in South Carolina on Saturday.

He had been wanted in connection to a girl who was missing from April 15 to April 19 before being found by Randolph County investigators.

The suspect was taken back to North Carolina and jailed in Randolph County under a $1,000,000 secured bond.
