GREENSBORO, N.C. -- People who live at the Ashleigh Park Apartment Homes in Greensboro are worried they may never live in a clean place.

"It smells like dead bodies," resident Chauncey Blackwell said. "You walk inside the hood, you smell the smell. It's nasty. Period."

Blackwell and others said the trash overflows the dumpsters, spilling out into the parking lot and the lawn. He said dumpsters almost never come to clean it up.

"It's shameful for somebody to come over here to visit you," resident Geraldine Vanstory said. "I don't hardly want any of my family coming over here."

FOX8 first told you about trash concerns at Ashleigh Park in April. The same day the FOX8 story aired, someone came to clean up the garbage. Residents contacted FOX8 Friday because they said the situation had deteriorated once again.

Residents said they are still paying full rent.

"We all complain," Blackwell said. "[Management] talks to you and gets you out of their hair -- and then you don't hear from them anymore."

Management company Bedrock Management Solutions, based out of Georgia, did not return FOX8's calls or email.

Waste Industries, the company contracted to pick up the trash at Ashleigh Park, declined to comment on the situation.

"The management is bad," resident Michael James said. "I don't know what it's going to take for these people to do the right thing."
