Search continues for missing 63-year-old Clemmons woman

CLEMMONS, N.C. -- The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office will continue its search for a missing Clemmons woman Tuesday morning.

Gayle Anette Fleming, 63, of Clemmons, left her home on Sunday, April 17, and has not returned, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.

On Monday, a missing person report was filed with the sheriff’s office.

When Fleming left her home, she was driving a red passenger vehicle. Last Wednesday, Forsyth County sheriff’s deputies located Fleming's vehicle while searching in the area of Tanglewood Park.

A ground and air search were conducted for Fleming, but she was not located.

The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office will be conducting a ground search of Tanglewood Park today, according to a release from Chief Deputy Stanley.

Authorities said the search is not being conducted based on any particular, new information but is part of the continued investigation.

About 100 community and family members have joined the sheriff's department and park officials in the search.
