Former Panthers cornerback Josh Norman agrees to terms with Washington Redskins
Former Carolina Panthers cornerback Josh Norman has agreed to terms with the Washington Redskins, ESPN is reporting, citing Adam Schefter and multiple reports.
ESPN reports it is a five-year, $75 million deal for the 2015 Pro Football Writers Association Most Improved Co-Player of the Year.
Norman was drafted by the Panthers in the 2012 NFL Draft and had his breakout season last season when he helped get the team to the Super Bowl.
On April 20, the Panthers rescinded their franchise tag placed on Norman after he and the team failed to come to an agreement on a long-term deal, making him an unrestricted free agent.
Norman played his college ball at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, S.C.
