Firefighters battle house fire in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, N.C. — Guilford County firefighters responded to a two-alarm fire in Jamestown on Thursday evening.

The fire was at a home located at 204 Ragsdale Road.

The fire was dispatched at about 6 p.m. Thursday and the first firefighters on the scene called for additional crews and engines shortly after they arrived.

Assistant Chief Tommy Cole with the Pinecroft Sedgefield Fire Department said the fire started outsideĀ and spread to the house.

Two people were inside the home at the time of the fire. They are accounted for and uninjured, Cole said.

There is no word on damages.

The Pinecroft Sedgefield Fire Department, High Point Fire Department, Greensboro Fire Department and Guilford County EMS responded.
