If you need a pick-me-up on this rainy Tuesday, head to Ben & Jerry’s for “Free Cone Day.”

The popular ice cream franchise will be scooping up and dishing out ice cream from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Ben & Jerry’s has been giving away free cones every year since the first “Free Cone Day” was held in 1979.

“It was our way of thanking everyone for all the love and support they showed us that first year of business in a renovated gas station in Burlington, Vt.,” the ice cream franchise explained on its website.

Ben & Jerry’s expects to give away more than a million scoops of ice cream around the world today.
