Suspect sought after bank robbery in Reidsville

REIDSVILLE, N.C. -- Reidsville police are investigating after a bank was robbed on Wednesday afternoon, according to Chief of Police Robert Hassell.

At 12:01 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to the Carter Bank & Trust, located at 100 Turner Drive, in reference to a robbery.

A tall, male subject walked into the store wearing a dark-colored jacket with light-colored stripes, blue jeans and gloves. The suspect had his face covered with a bandana.

Upon entry into the bank, the suspect brandished a handgun and demanded money from the teller. He fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
