NC babysitter faces charges including child abuse, DWI after leaving scene of wreck

ASHEVILLE, N.C. — A babysitter in Asheville is facing multiple charges, including child abuse, after leaving two children behind at the scene of a wreck Saturday night.

According to WLOS, 25-year-old Ariel Gamble was charged with felony hit and run causing injury, DWI, two counts of misdemeanor child abuse, felony possession of a controlled substance and driving without a license.

Authorities said the child she was babysitting and her niece suffered minor injuries in the wreck.

The person who Gamble hit also sustained minor injuries.

Everyone is expected to recover.
