Man in serious condition after shooting at Winston-Salem apartment complex

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A man is in serious condition after being shot Thursday night at a Winson-Salem apartment complex.

Winston-Salem Police responded at 11:55 p.m. to the 3000 block of Gilmer Avenue on a reported shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located 23-year-old Richard Isaac Crews lying on the sidewalk in the area. Crews had been shot multiple times from an unknown assailant while in the parking lot area of Greenway Apartments. Crews was transported to Baptist Hospital where he is listed in serious condition with life-threatening injuries.
