JAMESTOWN, N.C. — The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a bank robbery that happened in Jamestown on Tuesday afternoon.

At 1:35 p.m., sheriff’s deputies responded to the NewBridge Bank located at 120 E. Main St. in Jamestown on a burglar alarm.

Witnesses said a man in a ski mask entered the bank and demanded money.

The suspect fled the scene in what appeared to be a white 2000 Ford Crown Victoria that could have been an old police vehicle. The vehicle had a spotlight on the left windshield post and a large white decal on the back glass, witnesses told deputies.
