Man injured in weekend shooting in Greensboro dies

GREENSBORO, N.C. — An 18-year-old man who was shot early Sunday morning in Greensboro has died, according to Susan Danielsen with Greensboro police.

Greensboro police were called to Moses Cone Hospital at 1:56 a.m. on Sunday after Devin Tyshan Walker arrived at the Emergency Department suffering from a gunshot wound.

Detectives determined that the shooting occurred in the vicinity of Wendover Avenue and Gatewood Avenue.

Walker was pronounced deceased today, Danielsen said.

There is no suspect information available at this time. Any motive for the shooting is unclear.
